From early on in his Pennsylvania childhood, Charles Albert was an avid stone collector. He was fascinated by the minerals and fossils he would encounter while searching the lot behind his grandmother’s backyard. Though he didn’t know it at the time, those very stones would define his future.
As a teenager, Charles Albert was enlisted in the Army and continued his service to our country throughout the next 14 years of his life. While still in the Reserves, Charles began exploring his options in starting his own business. Shortly after graduating from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Management and a minor in Philosophy and History, he started his company with $60 and a dream. He began selling costume jewelry and then gradually made the transition into manufacturing fine sterling silver. Within a few years of setting off on his new venture, he met his wife Beth, who would later join him in the company. Together, they would develop the company into the fashion-forward brand it has become. Today, Charles Albert still collects rocks, like he did as a child. His collection has simply become a little bit larger. As a self taught designer, he lets the stones take center stage with minimal silver detailing. Charles Albert has earned a reputation for designing exquisite quality art, ready to wear. Hard work, determination and a passion for his work has allowed Charles to realize his dream of creating beautiful jewelry. |

Since 1996, Charles has carved out a niche in the marketplace by designing one-of-a-kind fossil, mineral & gemstone jewelry set in .950 (95% pure) fine sterling silver. Every piece of jewelry is meticulously hand-made from designs that Charles and Beth, have put together. Charles Albert, Inc. produces fantastic jewelry with the widest variety of stones from all over the world. All Charles Albert pieces are signed and the quality of work is unsurpassed. Over time, Charles Albert, Inc. has earned a good reputation for style, excellent quality and fantastic customer service.
In 2011, Charles Albert introduced Alchemía to fill a noticeable void in the accessories market by providing an accessible alternative to gold jewelry with the known superior quality of his fine sterling silver pieces. The company, including its craftsmen in Mexico, sought to create a cost effective option to silver and gold. After months of experimenting, the team developed a nickel-free, lead-free gold tone metal. Charles Albert chose to call the collection “Alchemía” (pronounced al-KHEM-ee-uh), the Latin word for Alchemy; the ancient mythical craft of transforming lead into gold. Similarly, Alchemía by Charles Albert® infuses a secret blend of elements to produce a gold-like metal, which is later set with raw materials and unusual stones to create elegant artisan jewelry. Charles Albert is constantly sourcing new materials, designing trendsetting jewelry and has no plans of slowing down. With a recent collaboration with pop-star, Ke$ha, a purchase of a larger office and an excellent staff to help our customers we are just getting started. The Lookbook Collection has allowed Charles Albert to take his business to the next level. Creating editorial, bold, edgy jewelry has garnered attention from editors and stylists. The Lookbook Collection pieces have been featured in InStyle, Lucky, Marie Claire, Vogue, ELLE, Us Weely, and Teen Vogue, just to name a few, and has been worn at Red Carpet events.
